Oh my sovereign soul yearns deeply for her embrace
Though her invisible skin already has me bound and in pieces
Wrapped in warmth and rhythmic phases
I dream of bones and stolid whispers just to sweeten the awakening of a fragrant future
Wrought in faces I’ve known and pulses of lighthearted wishing a true call is heard
The way galaxies speak to the minutes that pass before us
Mirroring shades of laughter in the swirling of winter leaves
Playing a bittersweet game of hide and seek enduring centuries
Yet the world would never be thirsty if I could not see her dancing in the fog of myths and musts
Drawing with such grace a name not ready for my own but tasted on every fluttering wing
She is only free
And still no honor shines to truly bear this hunting that will persist
Turning over mountains and streams with a cry so tender it transforms shadows into place amongst the din of losing shame
I carry her nowhere in slivers of colored glass sleepily trailing flecks of scented blood too precious to take home
Always loving timelessly again and again
Left aching for the nights to shake my heart from stone to ash before the sun tears open my few truths
We offer forgiveness under the shelter of primal breaths
Retelling stories written in a universal language on the shared sparks of life
I wonder if floating towards that starlit spirit would make tomorrows disappear with the ease of nakedness
And she tells me to inquire within
